On several occasions the Weiße Bräuhaus was a victim of the flames, yet was always speedily re-built and re-opened for business.
In 1704, when the Pandurs pillaged Traunstein and in 1851 when arsonists razed the town to the ground.
The Hofbräuhaus Traunstein too would have been destroyed, had it not been extinguished with beer by the bucketful.
