1770 - A strong child

In Heimathaus Traunstein there is an original depiction of the members of the Salt Works Guild, who gathered in their traditional costume around the banquet table and beer mugs were served up.

It is rumoured that the guild was enlivened by a “cheerful esprit de corps”. The Salt Works workforce comprised, in accordance with the “Collegial ordinance” of 1791 ten high-ranking officers, ten low-ranking officers, 20 to 30 supervisors and 120 workers. Traunstein Salt Works were closed in 1912.
