- Josef Sailer, brewery owner in Lauingen purchased Hofbräuhaus Traunstein for one of his three sons.
The Hofbräuhaus Traunstein remained in the ownership of the Hutter family up until 1896. Dr. Alois Hutter, who devoted himself more to his duties as a lawyer, did not have any offspring. This meant that Josef Sailer, brewery owner from Lauingen and father to three sons and one daughter, acquired the brewery in 1896.
