- It was in this year that Hofbräuhaus Traunstein was awarded eight gold medals for its beer
Several generations of brewers had since then been practising their craft. Fritz Sailer, who assumed the position of his late father Josef Sailer in 1934, was then able to expand the business after the 2nd World War. There was no lack of success: in 1975 all eight varieties of beer were awarded the highest accolade, gold medals from the Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft (German Agriculture Society), a record in the history of the brewery. Many more gold medals were to follow.
